The 3 peaks challenge!

Travelling home from Euro Disney at the end of last year having spent a few days in the synthetic environment that only Disney can create, I was craving something a little more organic!

So while stuck in Calais spending my last few euros I was thrilled to get an e mail from my good pal Mike Linger (the one with the tan and the good haircut from Essex Cryo Wellness)

He loves a challenge and was keen for me to join him and complete the National 3 Peaks, and I signed up then and there.

The National 3 Peaks consists of the tallest mountains within each representative country: Scafell Pike is the tallest in England; Snowdon, the tallest in Wales; and Ben Nevis the tallest in Scotland.

So starting in Scotland we will climb Ben Nevis then off to the Peak District to climb Scafell Pike, then last on the list to Wales to climb Snowdon hiking 23 miles in total and driving over 462 miles and all in 24 hours!

Of course we have some help from these guys
https://activemountaineering.co.uk/3-peaks-challenges/national-3-peaks-challenge They will be doing the driving and guiding us safely up and down!

It’s going to be a real test, so just in case we needed a reason to ‘push on’ we’ve decided to raise some money for an amazing charity and here’s why.

Last year a family close to me lost their daughter to cancer. She was an active supporter of Mind and so it is in her honour that we ask you to spare whatever you can to help us raise money for this amazing cause.

So please wish us luck and hopefully we will raise plenty of lovely cash to support these guys!

Thanks so much,
Rob and Mike
